Today (February 08, 2010) SalvationDATA has a critical update for Data Compass released. The most important upgrade feature is our data recovery tools Data Compass can support imaging by selective heads of Seagate Barracuda 7200.11/12 series.
As we all know, the Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 and 7200.12 hard drives are more and more popular nowadays and take around 80% among the desktop drives. Due to the big capacity of Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 and 7200.12 hard drives, such as 500GB, 1TB, 1.5TB or 2TB, it is hard to image the whole disk when doing data recovery job by using any data recovery tools. In order to help the clients solve more problems and save more time when imaging the data from a whole drives, SalvationDATA R&D Team shortly released the feature of imaging by selective heads for the Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 and 7200.12 hard drives.
New Features:
1.Head selective of Seagate 7200.11/12 series.
It is possible now to create a copy of data using the remaining good surfaces or drive heads of Seagate disk (Attention: nowadays only Barracuda 7200.11 and 7200.12 series can be supported).
2.Add the feature to Image RAID.
After reconstructed the RAID system with Data Compass, user can use the “Image RAID” function image it to a new disk to boot the system(Attention: this feature is only available for the Data Compass Premium Version).
3.Optimize the algorithm for imaging, and the imaging speed is improved faster.
4.Modify DCEXP interface; reduce the Error caused by wrong operation.
5.Update the driver of Shadow Disk.
